Primary Scheduled hours:Â 80 Hours per pay period - 8 hour shifts
Job Summary:
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection prevention and control practices. Directs and checks work of others in the absence of management staff. Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities

Preferred Licensure / Certifications: | Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or NCCT. |
Preferred Experience: | Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the operating room/sterile processing. Graduate of accredited school may count as (1) one year. |

Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range ($25.25 - $29.74/hour) dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation increment increases annually.
